What this means

Guard-hours are calculated as shift duration multiplied by booked guard slots.

A company booking 3 slots on an 8-hour shift creates 24 guard-hours.

The shift rate applies per guard-hour.

Different shifts can have different hourly rates and slot counts.

Shift time: 09:00 - 17:00
Booked slots: 3
Rate: GBP 16/hr

Guard-hours: 8 x 3 = 24. Shift value: 24 x GBP 16 = GBP 384.
